Former Field Hockey & Hockey Panther Sarah MacAulay is was a member of CIS Championship Field Hockey Team from University of BC.
The second seeded UBC Thurderbirds won a record setting 12th CIS Women's field Hockey title with a 6-0 gold medal defeat over Alberta Pandas, on Sunday, Nov 7th at the University of Victoria. In round robin play UBC had a 3-0-1 record and Sarah, who played right defence, was named Player of the Game in the round robin game victory 3-1 over the University of Alberta.
Sarah played three years with UPEI Field Hockey until 2008 when she moved to BC to train with the Senior Women's National Field Hockey Team. While playing for the Panthers Sarah was named Atlantic Rookie of the Year 2005-06, League All Star for 2006-07, 2007-08, and CIS All Star 2007-08.
This 2009 season Sarah played right defence and mid field for UBC Thurderbirds. This coming week Sarah will begin a training camp for the Senior Women'sNational Team.
