On Sunday UPEI played both CIS members Dalhousie and SMU. Both games resulted in a 0-0 draw. "Both SMU and Dalhousie have well balanced teams and with the shorten games, all teams play five games in a tournament, teams must work quickly to score but all three teams have excellent defense therefore one goal could win the game for you, “ said team manger Barb Carmichael The final game of the day was UPEI against the red hot club team of UNB , the Panthers lost 1-0 giving UNB the winning record for the weekend.
The rankings for the Championship tournament at UPEI for this weekend are as follows 1. SMU,
2 UPEI, 3 Dalhousie, 4. UNB 5 Acadia, 6. StFX.
As UPEI team perpares for the weekend they will meet Dalhousie and ST FX in the round robin final placement followed by Semi's and Championship game on Sunday. Barb Carmichael said "The UPEI team has to come to play each game as they did against SMU this past weekend. Stay focus by playing great defense, strong through the middle, and finish in the net".
