After the 2010 Subway AUS Swimming Championship, the athletes of the week both come from swimming.

Swimming

The 2010 Subway AUS Swimming Championships concluded on Sunday night with Dalhousie winning the Championship Banner for both and women.

Men's Hockey

The UPEI Panthers are red hot in the Atlantic University Sport Men’s Hockey Conference.

Swimming

The fans at UPEI had lots to cheer about on Saturday night at the 2010 Subway AUS Swimming Championship,  as Panther swimmer Eric Beaton won the 50 m freestyle  with a time of 23:74 and qualified for the CIS Championship in two weeks time at the University of Toronto.  Beaton is a second year swimmer fromNova Scotia.

The first day of the 2010 Subway AUS Swimming Championship was a huge hit. This is the first time that UPEI hosted the AUS Championship. CARI pool is said to be fast and today there

Women's Basketball

The game result was not what Coach Carly Clarke wanted but she was very proud of what her team had accomplished all week as they raised funds for the Shoot for the Cure Event.  The Panthers lost to the Huskies 68-38.

Men's Basketball

Look for the return of exciting rookie Terrence Brown to give the mens Panthers (3-8) a spark heading into their two game set against the Huskies (9-5).  After nearly knocking off ST FX last week on the road, coach Matthew Davies feels his team is peaking and can play with anyone in the league.

Swimming

The University of Prince Edward Island is excited to be hosting the 2010 Subway AUS Swimming Championship February 5-7, 2010.

This is the first time that UPEI will play host to the event and are looking forward to the support from Island swimming fans as the date gets closer. Head Coach, William Calhoun, “This is a great opportunity for the UPEI Swim Panthers to compete against the top swimmers in the CIS, in their own pool,” “This will also be a great chance for young aspiring Island swimmers to see the top swimmers in the CIS swim here in PEI.”
